Vice Chancellor of SAU, Engr. Prof. Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal, emphasized the importance of agricultural engineering during his visit to the workshop of the Department of Farm Power and Machinery, highlighting the need for hands-on training in modern and conventional machinery. He also stressed the role of technologies like mechanization, GIS, and remote sensing in addressing climate and resource challenges, and announced plans to upgrade workshop facilities. On the occasion, Dean Prof. Dr. Munir Ahmed Mangrio highlighted the focus on curriculum development, research, and practical training, while Chairman Prof. Dr. Farman Ali Chandio briefed about hands-on training and industry linkages.
A two-day workshop titled “3rd ESS – Managing Your Research Journey” was held at Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), bringing together students, researchers, and professionals to improve their research skills. The workshop focused on research methods, statistical tools, and effective data presentation. Vice Chancellor Engr. Speakers included Dr. Arfan Ahmed Gilal and Dr. Bhai Khan Solangi, while Dr. Imtiaz Nizamani and Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Khaskheli were also present.The workshop concluded with certificate distribution among participants from SAU and other research institutions.

Dr. Rashid Bajwa highlighted cotton and wheat value chain initiatives, while Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar stressed field-based learning and Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Jamro emphasized collaboration for rural development.
