COMPUTERIZATION AND NETWORKING SECTION (CNS) at Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam is committed to delivering various IT services, support, and training across the university and its affiliated campuses and colleges. Since its inception, CNS has played a crucial role in enhancing the university’s technological infrastructure.

One of CNS’s flagship projects, the Smart University Wi-Fi Network, was launched in October 2021 in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad. This initiative provides blanket Wi-Fi coverage across major campus buildings, including the Faculty of Agricultural Social Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Crop Protection, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, the Gymnasium, Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels, the visiting faculty rest house, and the new ITC building. The project ensures that all classrooms, laboratories, offices, libraries, cafeterias, and parks are equipped with high-speed internet, with a bandwidth of 554 Mbps, serving registered users like students, faculty, and staff. The entire infrastructure is connected to the campus data center through optical fiber, making SAU Tandojam the first university in Sindh province to adopt Wi-Fi 6 technology. The network is supported by Huawei equipment, including firewalls, routers, servers, switches, and access points.

Another noteworthy initiative is the Smart Classroom Project, launched in 2023 in partnership with HEC and the Chinese Government. The Smart Classroom, located in the Faculty of Crop Production, features a state-of-the-art virtual learning environment, enabling students to participate in lectures, conferences, and seminars remotely. Equipped with modern computers and soundproofing, the Smart Classroom offers a cutting-edge experience for both educators and students:
